Causes of sleep problems in seniors

LONDON: Older adults still need seven or eight hours of sleep each night to feel rested and refreshed in the morning. But getting that much sleep poses a challenge for many elderly people.
The American Academy or Family Physicians mentions these common causes of sleep problems among seniors:

  1. Age- associated change in the sleep-wake cycle. 
  2. Age -associated reduction in  the body's production of melatonin.
  3. Smoking and increased consumption of alcohol or caffeine.
  4. Pain or illness.
  5. Taking certain medications.
  6. Disorders such as sleep apnea or restless legs syndrome.

Most effective way to make healthier life


Food is actually for health.Vegetarian food
 is healthier.I think becoming vegetarian 
does not mean that one is saving animals;
 actually we are saving ourselves.The
 consumption of meat has numerous 
disadvantages as it causes heart failure,
 blood pressure problems, irritation.There 
is a beautiful saying that 'You are what you eat'. The thought ,emotion , attitude , mind and immune system are based on the food we consume.Looking into research and survey conducted it was found that vegetarian live happy,peaceful ,long life and successful life.
In our country there are many people who prefer eating non-vegetarian food throughout the week.According to survey conducted , it states that the problem of high BP and the disease related to intestine and stomach is 
higher among non vegetarians than in vegetarians.Non vegetarians are also at high risk of consuming pesticides and insecticides. Food that is consumed by animals may contain aforementioned chemicals because it is directly consumed by them, which cannot be removed by 
cleaning and cooking the meat.When such 
meat is eaten it has adverse effect on our health.
                                  It completely depends on one's will to be vegetarian or not.But the cruelty towards animals cannot simply decrease by opting for one of the two food habits.Some people have made poaching a means of earning and some have made hunting their passion.There must be a strong law to publish these people and initiative by government to strictly ban poaching and hunting.
The thing is not just a fashion rather it is a sweet sacrifice made to save the life of animals.I being vegetarian  has filled me with positive energy and has made me realize the kindness filled for animals and other beings.The main things is that it is beneficial for the individual's health as it keep away many long-term health problems and complications.I find many pros than cons of being a vegetarian as it is healthy.Eating fresh cereals ,vegetables and fruits,help build up the immune system,and the best part of the food is,it has no side effects.But consuming meat brings a lot of negative effects on one's health and it also aids in bringing cruel thoughts to one's mind.
